With COVID-19 limiting in-person event opportunities, The Single Mom KC (TSMKC) needed to rethink its annual fall fundraiser. A brand new concept was developed, dubbed a “team challenge,” and named Piece to Peace, reflecting how TSMKC helps single moms assemble their broken pieces to move to a place of peace.

In addition to creating the event name and logo, I developed:

  • a landing page;
  • forms and letters;
  • flyers;
  • social media graphics;
  • an email campaign;
  • programs;
  • signage; and
  • swag (T-shirts, tumblers, hand sanitizer, masks, and bags).

To support communications around the event, I also provided copywriting services, especially through the email campaign.

Thanks to generous donors throughout Kansas City, Piece to Peace 2020 was a huge success, as funds raised more than tripled financial expectations.
